what happens to the umbilical cord, on the mother's side, when its cut?
do they tuck the rest back into her vagggggggggina?

i didn't study anything to do with placentas back at school

the placenta can't be just floating around in the womb... it has to be attached to something, right?

placenta attached to the side of the womb, where it takes nutrients, and then placenta comes out after baby is born

its attatched to the baby by the cord just sits there with the baby lol dont really do alot after that then just gets pulled out after the birth

The placenta is attached to the wall of the womb and attached to the baby via the umbilical cord.
The placenta is 'delivered' after the baby is born

what if they didnt cut the cord, and delivered the placenta anyway, the baby would have somewhere to put its toys and school books later in life
