ok had enough of bloody eml issues and stupid sensors......

is it worth / how much would it cost to convert a 1.2 16v multipoint injected corsa to carb????

because i have spent the last 4 months not being able to go over 3.5 thou revs and have les power than delboys reliant......fed up with it....vauxhall tested it and not know whats wrong another garage have done the same and still can't see problem and i have had enough.....

ned to get it sorted and this was an idea

lack of cash prohibits that.... 2.0 would be nice though.... went out in lee mitchels and its scared the out of me

yea the white one. saw his yellow one....coming along!!! but not sure what / wheather an insurance company would touch my corsa with a 2.0ltr / how much it would cost to insure?!?!?!

To get an inlet and all the work you may as well dump a 2.0 in.

Go for a x20xev, they can be picked up for peanuts 136bhp out the box.

ok.... as a general rule how much cheaper are they to c20xes????

also would it be cheaper on insurance...oviously not exact figure but ball park????

I had a similar problem to you. I was told that the loom might need sorting out ie:altering........i thought feck that im gona try the Air flow Meter first........hey presto, it worked!

Others problems could be, idle stepper motor, coil pack and AFM as mentioned above. 3 common problems with the x12xe engines. Could also be the throttle sensor. Find a mate with the same engine and swop all the bits over i've mentioned above, clear the ECU and take it for a spin.......if your car is fine.......pin point the problem from there on.
