Aside from Footy/Cars this is my main hobby (and job!) wondered if anyone else collects mid century modern furniture etc? And no it isn't gay, some of this stuff is worth more than a nice car

Cheers mate, no neither although I do have a few things in that middle picture. Prefer to mix and match with new furniture but there are some amazing and interesting pieces out there

My study is currently undergoing some work so shall be a mini showroom to display the best bits

gianluigi - prices vary greatly depending on condition/designer/rarity etc. For instance in the bottom pic, the Peter Ghyczy egg chair would be around £800. Some other arm chairs/egg chairs go for £1000s although there are copies around to be had for £2-400.

I take it you make a wedge on this nick

I like it but wouldn't want alot of it in my house.

I've seen a few programmes about this kind of thing where soem fella had a full kitchen that looked the same style red shiney plastic as the little mini chest of draws in the back of this pic, was worth an absolute mint

It's mad how much money some reclaimed furniture/fittings etc are

I am into retro styling, I like things like the egg chair etc etc.. But it has to suit the space, room its in and home as a whole.

Yeah totally agree, in my living room I have a big Guzzini floor standing lamp in the corner of the room and a large Murano bowl on the window sill so they both slot in nicely with everything else. Some people just ram loads of it and expect it to match

And the Egg chairs are very cool and bloody comfy - good for late night PS2 sessions
