If you dont like the sound of laser eye surgery, theres a new form of contact lens which you wear whilst you sleep, and It reshapes your eyeball - enough to give you perfect vision all day.
Was inspired by ancient oriental people using small bags of sand to do the same thing as they found it gave people much better sight.

His eyesite has improved greatly but he still needs glasses for reading

If I needed glasses then I would consider having it done, but only if it was done by a doctor or optometrist. Seeing as it isn't I really don't have any fath in the procedure.
They only advertise the price per eye... Kinda cool if you want to wear a monocle...

my oldest cousin had it done about 2-3 years ago. also a guy i work with had it done roughly the same time
they both reckon the benefits were well worth it. and neither of them have to wear glasses any longer

I work in optics and would never consider it!!
The risks are still there and after talking to opthomologists and optomotrists I have been well put off it. They all said technology is not that advanced yet that its totally safe.
Recently two of my mates I work with have had it done, Ones fine altho she gets dry eyes all the time and still has a slight prescription. The other was off work for 6 months due to her being photo sensitive and now she cant drive at night
Your sight is damm precious no point riscking it for vanity.
Not saying its totally bad as many people have had success but there is still that inevritable risks involved.

also the other thing to remember is that employers like the police or the armed forces won't take you on because you've had it done if your original presciption is worse than the lower limit for admission
