right got the cylinder head off and the gasget is shot between no. 2 & 3
excellent, obviously found 1 problem
another thing i noticed was the 2 of the valves on the front of the engine on both sides were a light brown colour pic to follow

Some of the valves look as if they are not sitting completely flush, should they all be ?
trying to get camera to work just now

valves would not all sit flush, cams would be holding 4 of them slightly open

all valves should be flush when the head is off and under the tension of the valve springs.

Strip the head and clean everything (valves etc)

replace valve stem seals.

Check valves are straight, then regrind valve seats..

not that hard a job with the right tools

the valves on my 1.6 stayed slightly open when the head was off, unless you turned the cams

yep it was broke between 2 and 3. no pic tho.
So all i need to do now is strip cylinder head, fit new valve stem seals and reassemble?
on second pic down
the 2 valves closet to camera second to the left are definetly ok, the are slightly raised
Beginning to worry that i put it back together and fuck up all the timing etc

head looks fine. valve position looks fina as well. the only way they could be bent is if the cam has twisted (100% not going to happen) or contact with the pistons. (no sign of that from the pics)

might as well get the head done properly, new seals, skim, re-grind the valves etc....
