if you have no loom : undo the 3 screws under the steering wheel. this will reveal a wire covered with a foamy material. cut the foamy material for a length of about 2-3 inches with caution,so that you will not cut the wires inside it. then you will see a red and a black wire. red is always live black is live after ignition (i think). connect your positive wire to either one (if you want to charge your mobile with engine off then connect to the red) and then connect the negative wire to the ground bolt which is next to the fuses. also dont forget to use a 10-15A fuse somewhere in your circuit. thats it hope it helps!

fair enough, i agree that it sounds dodgy, but i have hooked into that wire my lighter my el.windows + my alarm and they all work fine. If you know theres a better way then do it m8..i m no electrician personally, but i m sure it wont catch fire (as long as u use thick enough wires and not too long).

if you remove the ash tray(two screws underneath) there should be two wires on the back of the cigarette lighter working the bulb and ligher unit

no offence taken matey
if anyone knows a better way of finding a live wire (apart from running a wire straight from battery, i know that is better), then he must post it so that we can all improve our "techniques".

ps i believe the wire from the lighter unit will be far thinner than the wire i suggested and thus more prone to catch fire

Found the Loom today Plugged it in.. No Joy

Does it have a fuse in the Box? And do all 3 plugs on the back of the outlet have to be filled for it to work? I only found a connector with 2 connections on it
