Made this promo at work today... it's supposed to show the quality of camera work, not editting... it was nocked up in a few hours...
Did the radar bit in Flash, my first Flash animation to actually mean something...
I don't need negative feedback, I just simply want to know what you think the best bits are...
it's a bit shit quality, I'll post up 2 copies now and 1 more later on for you hardcore downloaders with top speeds (378Mb)
Smaller file but better quality
Bigger file, bigger vid, but worse quality

the yellow font at the start looks too tacky, ie flares find of font, swap it for something abit more upmarket or futuristic imo.
also bit after sara cox where kaiser chiefs come in, try it so it starts straight on the vocal, "watching the people get lairy" have a few normal shots then once "I predict i riot" starts have a load of crowd shots jumping around maybe?

It's all about the interview dude... the music is set by the top dog, I just mash the vids together... loads of people jumping is not what this promo is lal about...
Once I finish all the FriskyTV stuff next week I'll post some really vids up and you will be able to see te quality on them.

What software/cameras are you using mate? Camera work looks ok, because of the type of promo it is, it needs to be a bit raw, and you can get away with a lot. Im a camera op and editor if you want any advise, just u2u me.

That seemed crap to me to be honest... Gave the image of low budget, amatuer and crap. Fair enough if that's what your going for, but the fact there was sarah cox and richard blackwood I'd expect something a fair bit better.
The flash bit where student tv flies past looks like it was a image file imported into flash ... hence the pixellatedness - if the image was in flash in the first place, and you zoomed in that much it wouldn't look so shoddy.
I wonder if they'll start regretting their decision to hire you

Paul, the only bit done in flash was the radar, all the text and everything else was done in Pinacle...
It's all just a side project that a few people from the company are doing... we have alot on with other stuff and that's why it looks a bit shoddy, cos we only had a few hours to work on it while we had no other work on...
TBH I'm nocking out 3 - 4 AVI files a day, and working damn hard, all of which are at a way higher standard than the other stuff I've seen before I started there.
