probably miss firing so petrol in one of the cylinders isn't getting ignited, check the spark plugs see if they're all sparking correctly. take one out at a time, crank the engine (don't start) and see if you have a spark in each.

Will be something simple. Find someone with a bit of knowledge that will do it for little or no money

Doing it yourself with no previous experience of engine swaps is a bad idea.

Did you have fun wiring the ECU and transponder, chip etc up?

which is precisely why you can't give up. it could simply be a spark plug! but you need to test and see, at least its running you know you have no major problem

youd hardly expected it to just work out of the box after an engine conversion did you? you will be 2 weeks ironing problems out of it!

my advise to you is to leave it for a day or 2 then go back and have a look with a fresh head/attitude.
