Alright,

Basically my last and present car both have engine conversions.

Corsa C20XE
Astra C20LET

But im thinking what car would I get next, and could I do a conversion if I weren’t happy…

Mk2 golf with a 1.8 turbo
Mk1 golf caddy with a 1.8 turbo

Looking for something easy to tune, preferably a turbo!

What would u convert?

Micra – pulsar engine, but they look dog ugly
Ford ka with an RS turbo engine
Honda civic with a rover 200ti engine

Any other mad conversions ????

not sure how popular the RS turbo in a KA shell setup is, I've done seen it done once so it must be pretty hard!

A Caddy with a 1.8 turbo would be sweet as... I lurve Caddys...

You can fit any engine into anything though, given the time and money

One of the best I have seen is a Subaru powered Beetle in Practical Performance Car a while back...

Where do you go to find stuff out about VAG engine conversions? The 1.8 turbos mount the other way round to most FWD cars right? With the gearbox behind them?

i never thought these Vag 1.8t lumps were that tuneable, but from what ive heard recently they are really good! as long as u can change the turbo and pistons...

White caddy on ronal turbos, dropped to the floor, with a turbo, standard everything else

You'd be better off spending your money tuning the 106 gti engine TBH. I've heard putting a GTI6 engine in is a stupidly expensive job just for 47 bhp, and its extra weight will probably screw up the ace handling of the 106 gti.
