You can get mini kegs of Stella from supermarkets. Or you can get kegs from a local brewery. Best bet is to find your local brewery and see how much it costs. You rent the barrel and pay for the beer, you also need a tap too, but you can rent that aswell...

thats if he means beer and not larger.
Needs to be vented first left for 24hours at least and then tapped. Should really be left after its been tapped as well.
Larger is never going to work with out a gas supply!

Not got any mates who work in pubs? You can probably order them off tintraweb, but I was at a party couple of weeks ago and they got a keg of bitter ordered by their local and lent them a spare pump (not sure about gassing etc? )

Easy if you like bitter (most ppl don't though eh), gassing a lager will be a pain in the ass and will cost more. I went to another party years back (me and my mate were the bar men aged 14 ) his dad worked for a brewery and had stella plumbed in for this party but the gas wasn't set up right so just kept getting froth, which me and my mates disposed of couldn't stand up by the end

Right then you mean a 34gallon keg. Your looking at well over £150 for it.
You would need Co2 gas bottle, pump, tap and a cooler.
Buy some cans.

There is a place in Bromley Kent that hires all the stuff for a week, is about £150 for an 88 pint keg cooler and gas pipes and tap 
they do most beers but we usually get fosters or carling

Somthing like £80 - £100 a keg for Ale... Never seen Lagers advertised.

it's easy and pretty self explanitory (sp) the bloke can talk you through it when you pick the stuff up !
Mate has done this a couple of times now and it gets a good reception

proper kegs come in 2 sizes, either 11's or 22's. if i remember correctly a fosters 11 is about £75 trade price. no point buying one tho as you cant just open it and pour the beer out, theyre presurized and need all the proper equipment like the tap, gas cylinders, pumps etc (which all costs thousdands)
