theres different laws on neons really, depends wer u live i suppose. but if u do fit them, make sure the colour matches ur car, ur car is modified enough to make them look half decent and of course, make sure u cannot see the actual tube and that only the glow is showing.

I've read the road traffic act through, it's not illegal, some coppers might say they are, blah blah blah, and around your area you might get alot of stick for them

I wouldn't even accept a section 59 for them, I'd take it all the way, and bring in the 2 relevant Road Traffic Act documents, If I could find them right now, I'd link to them and explain, but I can't, your solicitor would be more than happy to help though I'm sure.

i thought u could only have a certain colour shining on one side of ur car, example - red from the rear, orange from the side and white from the front. or is that just the usual bollox that coppers tell u?

theres no law yet!!

a guy got stopped in Nottm for blue washer jets... £30 fine etc!
he sent the fine off and a letter questioning the law.
fine got sent back with a letter saying there is no law about having blue lights etc to the front of the car! Any colour was ok... as long as its NOT red to the front!!!

Coppers will take more of a dim view on blue than any other colour.

IMO neons are good if used in the correct way!!!

For example most of the guys on here are performance guys, and wont want neons, but there are members on here that have more 'show' cars, and neons on these cars is moe than acceptable, but like sed previously make sure that the tubes dont show, it depends on the cop tho and it depends if you really want to argue with them!
