Right, I've sold the Civic and now have a £200 Chavalier to run around in until I find a Diesel.

I have £5000 to spend.

I'm favouring the Golf GT TDi at the moment but may have to ask the bank for more money (loan) as they hold their money very well!

The focus TDCi engines are pretty good

You could get a Vectra (new shape) V6 CDTi for just under 10grand and they are really good cars! very quick for a derv!

his budget is 5k though

Wish mine was, ive got 1400 plus a 306 I have kind of a family member at a garage who will sort me out, but this means i will have to pick out of what his there.

Vag diesels the best option, for 5k ull get about a 99 plate gt tdi with around 70k on the clock, nothing really.
