I shall be ringing tomorrow for a quote on alloys, suspension and exhaust. I seem to remember Liverpool Victoria being cool with visual / non performance enhancements a while back then all of a sudden becoming fussy with insuring modified cars.

I phoned them before about a 2 litre GSi and they said they couldn't quote.

they may say they will cover it then send you a letter saying they wont and your cover is invalid... they are very messy people for modified cars

I wouldnt bother with them as my bf was with liverpool victoria and they were fine when he said he was going to modifiy it and when he rang them to let them know when he had modified it they got funny with him and he had to change insurance and lost nearly a years worth of no claims!!

i am with liverpool victoria, through csma.
They are fine i have all mods declared, wheels suspension, skirts, front spoiler, tints and rears lights.
I had to claim last yaer and all was sorted, included repair to skirt.
I am in the process of another claim because some nutter reversed into my car in a car park, and hit the rear quarter driver side, quite a large dint.
So my experience is good.....so far

i am with them i rang them couple months back and they wouldnt let me touch ma car so am going with sum one else when insurance is up

Last time I was with them, I specifically asked about changing engines, and they said that they'd cover me (and also added that they wouldn't cover most people, but wouldn't tell me what the requirements were).

2 years ago i added 17" alloys /lowered it 40 mm/ put a non-performance exhaust on / plus 3 speeding points and it came to a grand total of £0

thats funny coz i said how much would my premium go up if i wanted to put a 2.0i conversion in and they said it woulnt ..
