one! Although theres enough fruit in there for one serving to equal one portion, your not supposed to count fruit juice, regardless of how much u drink, as more than one of the 5 a day thing.

It depends how big the carton is. I should think it would be about 2-3 portions.

No, 1 orange is 1 portion, 3 would be 3 portions even if ate at the same time.

OK, so 1 banana, 1 orange, 1 melon, 1 apple and 1 pineapple a day is 5 portions. But 50 oranges is only 1?

I think your wrong!

well if you put it that way yes. but 5 oranges isnt as good for you as 1 orange 1 apple 1 banana 1 pear and a few plums. and pure orange juice is still just 1 portion as you loose natural sugars when they make it.

nah hes right its only 1 portion, folk are getting mixed up.

Your meant to consume 5 SEPERATE AND INDIVIDUAL portions of fruit and veg a day i.e 5 apples would not suffice an apple an orange a banana a pear and a carrot would!

Yes I understand that, having different fruits offers different benefits.

But according to the back of the carton I have here, 200ml is the same as 1 orange, So 1 litre is 5 portions.

Yes 1 litre does give 5 portions but not for the same person on the same day, it wont count as the RDA is 5 seperate fruit and veg per day.

i usuallly drink 400ml at a time,
usually twice a day, so 800ml on orangejuice.

(I drink shitloads more of water)

so like to think i'm getting at least 3 oranges, and that i'm plenty hydrated!

Ahh, the benefits of having an orange-juice-maker machine in work!

Chuck in a box of oranges, press Go, and wait about 10 minutes for the oranges to be squashed, and the juice to be nicely chilled!
