I have started to make leads for c20xe corsas. They are made so that there is no wiring required at all. Just plug one end of the lead into the engine loom and the other into the corsa loom down by the drivers footwell.

The lead enables the ecu light to work as usual and i can also fit a toggle switch to enable you to read the fault codes easyer.

The leads will be £35 inc postage.

Because of there being 3 or 4 different xe looms,The easiest way is to send me your c20xe wiring loom, and ill send it back ready to go. Can have the looms turned around in a couple of days.

Right obviously there is a bit of confusion about this. Basicaly when you wire up an xe, most people just cut the wires and crimp them together as explained in the conversion guides etc.

But looking through various forums, people still tend to have problems. What i offer is a way of saving a lot of time and effort, for a reasonable price.

There are two types of xe looms,

1 - The type which has the plugs down by the footwell

2 - The type with the plug in the engine bay.

So for the first one ill chop the plug of the xe and solder on a corsa plug which will enable it to be pluged straight into the corsa interior loom.

For the second one ill chop of the plug on the xe loom, and run a load of wires that are lond enough to go from the xe loom into the passenger side footwell, then ill solder a plug on the end of that to enable it to be pluged into the corsa interior loom.

All joints are soldered and each wire heat shrinked to protect the joints. For the second loom the wires are all covered in flexi plastic conduit.

On top of that i can wire in a switch to enable the fault codes to be read. All this is, is the same principle as shorting out the two pins in the fuse box, but makes it a bit easyer if your driving along.

I hope this clears up a few things, i am currently making my 3rd one at the moment.
