decided the fuel filler and lines were next to go
anyone who tries this will know
the filler is a pain to get off if the bolt underneath has corroded
in my case a hacksaw chisel and crowbar got it off

its only held on with 2 bolts aswell, both corroded
fuel lines gone, they didnt want to part easy either so a big screwdriver and a lot of broken clips later

then had half hour spare so front lights went, rear lights went, and i made a start on the wiring
