7.3 to 60

That would smoke a GSi and trouble a valver. He obviously wasn't having a go.

pretty much advanced....i would advice anyone to try it...i drop from a 1.8d escort and i was a bit warey on the speed but i was suprised! The Ford 1.4TDCI is only 68bhp while a 1.3CDIT is 69bhp what is the difference?

Many differences, its a good engine but not quicker than a 3.0 Audi.

I have one.
Its absolutely useless.
It only feels fast because in normal driving your always using the torque you get from 2000 to about 2700 rpm.
Try and keep up with anything and you realise how slow it is.

He tried...it had to pull in behind me its only a narrow 500yard stretch but he did try and over take

Maybe he saw you on one and decided to pull back. I doubt if he really wanted to pass that he wouldn't be able to. Its like 200bhp car? Even with more weight thats big power.

Depending on the situation you can stop anybody getting past you in anything.

not really he was behind me on the motorway, until coming off then he tried to over take but failed to do so...
I would honestly say that everyone that doesn't beleive it could be, sit in the car with me...

I have the same engine.
I know exactly what its like unless you have a super 300bhp one.
Its slow as a week in jail. After 3000rpm there is nothing.
If he tried to get by u in 5th at 40 or something and you happened to be sitting at 2000rpm maybe.
But that falls under the right time right place scenario.
Doesn't count as him not being able to overtake you.

Please don't anyone take this as me having a go at a new member (not even sure if he is a new member), anyway their are several invalid points you have made, power to weght etc, diesels r less likely to be caught out of gear because their power band is narrow so theirs that theory out, the fact diesels are favoured for their toqrue means whether you were going uphill or he had a caqr full etc etc would made shite all difference. If you seriously think your little 1.3 tdi corsa is quicker than a 3.0 tdi audi you have obviously not got a clue about cars full stop. Have you ever been in anything quivk I had a hire fiesta 1.4 cdti a few months back and yes you get a decent pull for about 1k of the power band but that's it, they are not quick cars

Thats exactly what makes them feel quick when you are just driving about normally.
Its not until you try to overtake a shitty van on a back road and find out when your sitting beside him that you can't.

You are quite clearly illiterate, this tends to make me to believe you even had a race with a 3.0 audi even less
