Just got some alpine SXS speakers for my doors they are 6.5" 17cm. I also bought some adaptors for these but when i fit the adaptors my speakers will not fit still. i could get 3 screws in at the most but there was still a gap between the speaker and the adaptor. Now i would have been happy with this but when putting the door back on the grill part of the door card presses against the speaker so it cant move

any help would be great

just mount the speakers on mdf rings!

what are the catching on, the window in the door itself or the hole in the door that they sit through?

sorted it now. just took them back and got the 13cm ones
