i have some shocks and spring and where wondering how i could tell what size they are before fitting them any suggestions?

If there's nothing written on them then virtually impossible.

what colour are they? certain brands do certain colours etc.

if you can get a standard corsa spring and lay other up against it you might see the slight difference but would be hard to tell if it was 40 or 60mm etc.
