...Right within the next few weeks I'm going to be working in Manchester for a couple of weeks, and as me and the other person working with me are probably going to be up there for a few weekends- where do you recommend for a good night out etc?
Any help/info appreciated!

If you like trendy bars where you could spend all day then like Derek says Castlefield Locks are your best bet. Where abouts are you staying? I wouldn't venture out of that area really unless you go the Gay Village cos thats a good night out mostly for Gay's obviously but the atmosphere is really good in the Clubs. Printworks is Ok for a meal and a few drinks. Trafford Centre is good for shopping then food.
Other than that not much else to do

In fact i'll even Pimp out my mate for a night out if you want, he has an appartment just 3 mins walk from the Locks and he'll take you to the best places. He doesn't know yet but give me a shout if you want his number

Northern Quarter is cool, Matt and Phreads, Dry Bar. Or oxford road; kro2, schubar or even the Students Union.

My 1st trip to Manchester was 42nd street...i do go in there every now and then but was trying to give Jill ideas, i find 42nd street a bit grimmy as well.. Although its always good for meeting nutters and people outta there tree on drugs

It does get slagged off for being over crowded but i was in there saturday, its awsome for meeting 100's of student girls, good music, pool etc..
The Bouncers look well dodgey outside though..
