Does this seem a good price for a whole car as it has the leather and other parts which could be sold on if someone was after just the engine?

Engine and gearbox alone fetch about £1200 dont they?

Iffy.

Only things worth anything are engine box and TXB

U could get £1550 back from it, but the rest of it youd most probably end up scrapping IMO

Thats the thing with the Calibras, they haven't much worth selling after the engine has gone.
Thinking about getting a complete car with working engine but an XE not LET. Been looking at Cav GSis. Trying to work out if there are enough things of value on them to sell so as to cover the cost of buying the car which means I'd get the engine for nothing or at least next to nothing.
Cav GSi kits worth a bit of money?

lol wouldn't be a turbo, cant afford the insurance on a LET and not many Cav Turbos left.
Cav probably has more parts that are sellable on it than a Calibra e.g. kit and wheels
Dont get me wrong, I like Cav GSis but I would prefer the engine in my Corsa

Not a bad price but as said the engine/box is all thats worth money and nowadays they can be had for £800 not the £1200+ people used to pay for them.
Leather isnt worth much and the brakes/suspension/wheels might make another £300 but thats about it
