Hi all,

I put my car on the trader two days ago and since that I have had numerous e-mails from foreign people wanting to export it to australia, france, geneva

This enrages me because it is clear that someone is playing a joke, I'm trying to sell a car for god's sake, not hold an international conference!

Heres an example of an email I received:

Goodday,

Regarding the ads you posted on the net, am willing too purchase the car and i will like to see the resent picture of the car i will want you to explain the mechanical condition of the car to me as well, am please with the price.

Am a business man i base in france and am a citizen of australia i will want you to know that the car will be ship to australia and i will want you to know that the method of payment will be in cheque that will be issue out in your name and will be sent to your address payment will carry some extra amount of £ 2000 which is also part of the money
which they are surppose to send to me but since am willing to buy your car, then payment will all be made to you.

I will want to know if i can trust you with the remaining change? i will want you to send it to my shipper which will come down to your location to get the car and ship it down to australia.

Please send this information as follow so payment will get to you.

They all have agents for shipping companies who will come and pick it up.

Someone has actually threatened to entrust me with £7K 4 of that to go to the 'agent'

Still pisses me off

There are leaflets in my post office for Western Union transfers, best notify them then

Obviously people are dumb enough to fall for it or they would persist in doing it.
