I go to uni in newcsatle, but am currently in France as part of my course!! but im actually flying back on the 21st for the weekend!! so will be out in newc on the 22nd!! Baja is def NOT the place to go, what a pile of crap!! well if you like extreme cheese music then go for it, but not my cup of tea!!
thing is with sat nights, its full of chavs looking for fights.
If your looking for an easy pull....as i assume you are as its a lads night out, then go to Blu Bambu.
If your more into your music, then foundation is the place to go as they have prog/funky house music on sat nights with big name dj's....but costs a lil more. But think they are in the process of moving to a brand spanking new club called "digital".
Hope this helps

I've lived in Newcastle for a few months now... so i aint all that an expert on the best places
but....
two main places to go.... Big market and the sea/river front...
I recon you should head to the river front as there a few places to pop into.
Big market is more for the teenagers.
As for clubs... i'd recon blu bambu (up big market) - plays r'n'b and some old classic dance tunes
Good nite out tho... u'll enjoy

These are probably my favourite places as well although Foundation is slowly dying now that Shindig has moved to Digital. I'd also add Sea into the mix, easy to find, and normally plenty women

baja is fkin shite best places :
keel row, lloyds on quayside, digital, switch, the loft (love this place!) destination, etc
avoid at all costs:
baja, sea, buffalo joes, the boat, ikon etc, all charva infested
