i wana get a new amp...

used or new....

i have two alpine type-r subs 10"


they are 300watts rms each....


Would appreciate it if people could post links to an amp i could use...

ebay links welcome.... im not sure where to start lookin 2bh!

Which voice coil configuration are they??? D4 or D2

They come in either Dual 4ohm or Dual 2ohm. You need to know this before choosing an amp. Take one of the subs out and look at the model number it should end in D4 or D2.

well any chance of telling me an amp for 4ohm and an amp for 2ohm so when i check later....


are they dual voice coil..how do i wire them to get full performance

if your subs are 2ohm DVC

but hard to look for anything if you dont know exactly what subs you have

that is correct... You can run as many subs as you like off of a mono amp (providing your amp has an allowed resitance on it.)

mono amps will only play subs. A 'channel amp' can power components and 6x9s and subs.

you only need one channel, normally if you have a sub running on an amp with two channels you bridge the sub over the two channels, or bridge them both if you have 2 subs,

If you run subs in stereo with each other it sounds awful

If i remember righty you want a 2 ohm amp load really? and there is a certain way to wire them to run the 4 ohm dvc, alltho i dont know anything about dvc, i only got svc myself
