i purchased a set of wheels form ebay and the sorted a courier servie i found on ebay, they chraged 45 to send wheels form hull to london.
after a lot of messing about and fone calls theyve basically come to the conclusion they lost the wheels, i know god knows how.
aparently there investigating the driver as they were marked collected then went missing.
going to fill in the insurance claim but the seller wants to fill it in but as im the rightful owner of the wheels as i paid him last week etc.
know i know the amount i paid for the wheels but i cant just go and buy another for that price so can i claim for a replacement set of wheels or does it not work like that.

Generally speaking, person who posted it is the person that claims as they were the ones that posted it so its classed as their service. Its complicated, dont get your hopes up for seeing that money again. Half the time you just get the cost of postage back, unless you can prove thats what was sent etc. I heard one woman posted a painting worth 2 grand that got lost. They refused to pay for the painting but gave her a refund ont he postage. She took them to court and they had to pay back the price of the canvas and raw materials, which came to about £17.
