Harnesses look cool and as long as they are fitted right are better than seatbelts............but they are a serious pain in the arse! Mine did my head in after a while (2 days!!!!)

I loved that cage! Sold that Corsa about 4 years ago, cage was a Fearless half polished made by Brett Warburton. It was actually made for a Nova but fitted in the Corsa a treat.

To be honest tho, seatbelts just wouldnt have looked right at all in that car. It was harnesses or nothing!!!

Yeah, I think you can buy certain cages that work with sunroofs tho?

That Fearless cage (cos it was destined for a Nova) didnt come right to the roof of the car (it was about an inch low) so you may have got away with that?

it bolts to the mounts where the rear seat used to be, so u dont need to drill new holes

mmh. i was going to be smoothing and customising the rear boot plastics, trimming them to match the rest. that means would need to get cage first
might just get some harnesses then

i could but have decided to just keep the two seats. saves having to have passesngers which ends up with my back bumper being ripped to pieces, could only allow 2 people in the back but you know how it is, always end up with more

Cage bots to the chassis in 4 places 2 points in the floor behind the seats and one point on each of the rear struts. You do need to do a bit of drilling. Rear strut brace as you can see bolts to both rear suspension turrets, again you need to drill.

You can get some cages like someone said, just bolt into your seatbelt holes tho.

when i fitted my cage, i just took rear seats out and used to holes to bolt cage in which were already there for the rear seats, with the rear stut brace, is just a matter of removing the plastic covers where the rear stuts are, removing the nuts on the stut and putting the strut brace on top and re tightening. i got mine from MPS if that helps

Yeah, all depends on which cage you get. I reckon a proper designed Corsa cage will be a much better and easier to fit.

Rear stru brace on mine was made by me I did toy with the idea of doing what you said above Stu but cos I knew my harnesses were being attached to it, I didnt think it would be very safe. I reckon at 60mph the weight of a 12 stone body would snap the strut bolts off.

I think the strut top idea is better if you attach the harnesses elsewhere tho, a lot of people use the rear seatbelt point for the harnesses. Again I couldnt use that becaue of the false floor

i plan to attach harnesses to the original rear seat belt points below my false floor, going to make a few slots for them to go through.

Still just a little unsure whether to bother getting them or not

what u could do for a neater finish is fit a false floor then cut out holes where the anchor points are for the rear seatbelts and attach ur harness to them, will give it a neat look

Stu, - was ur rear stut brace made from steel then? as u said, the alluminium one would bend in half if u was involved in an accident with the harnesses bolted to it

I've got harnesses. I love them and don't find them annoying at all.
