been waiting for months for them to get the W800i in stock, been told the 26th september for ages, so i phone up this monday, 9.30, and shock, they had it in stock! 
so ordered it, and was told it would be here wednesday/thursday. i decided to get it delivered to work, as im here during the day.
told the receptionist i was waiting for a package yesterday (wednesday) under the name David Bevan.
didnt see a package yesterday, or today. so phoned o2, and they said it has been delivered, and the receptionist had signed for it 
of course, the receptionsit deicded she was ill today, so i couldn contact her.
but i have found out that my phone DID turn up, but with the wrong COMPANY name. They randomly selected a company from downstairs, but with my name on it too.
so basically, they have sent it back to o2. phoned them again, and they said i could geti t instore, but, of course they have no stock.
so phoned o2 again to re-order it, guess what, OUT OF STOCK 
their not sure when its back in stock again, so theyve backordered it for me.
getting them to order it to my work again, hopefully have the right address this time eh 
only been waiting about 7 weeks, whats another few eh

They are getting them in on october 3rd apparently, ive been waiting for mine for ages.
Gonna be on the phone to the first thing monday morning when they open to get it ordered

I had a similar problem with Orange.
Decided to deliver my phone to the invoice address and not the delivery address I gave. Only to find out it had been delivered to the invoice address when I wasnt there. Ring Orange up to reorganise delivery and they said they can only deliver to invoice address anyway (why the fuk do they offer to deliver to somewhere else on their site then!)
Then get told they have actually delivered the phone but not sure where to, and I hadnt been left any note by the delivery guy. After much ringing about, and fuk all help from Orange, it turns up on my doorstep about 2 weeks late. It had been delivered to one of my neighbours
end of my rant now!

I went into my local o2 shop the other day as i'm due my upgrade & told them i'd like the W800i & was told it would cost me £49.99 plus they were out of stock til tomorrow so I left it.
Rang o2 today, same phone & the upgrade is free of charge but they are out of stock til next week ( Tuesday). So am going down to the o2 shop tomorrow & telling them I want it for free as thats what the call centre said, plus the shop has them in stock 1st, otherwise i'll have to wait til next Tuesday & ring up again.

Typically the shops try & rip you off 
But the woman I quite literally just spoke to said the new stock was coming into stock Tuesday so you're best to ring 1st thing Tuesday am

There is the Samsung D600 now which also has a 2m mega pixel camera which I saw in the papers today.
I just want some thing I can take to the gym rather than having to buy a seperate MP3 player, plus I can take better pics on nights out

Not really o2s fault then, more like delivery drivers!
Andy S if it works like Orange then the shop wont be able to do yo a discount, you have been oiffered a "retention" deal. Not an off the shelf deal, so the shop isnt trying to rip you off they are being nice to you and trying to make you stay, paitience you have to have it for a year a few days wont hurt!
Samsung D600 will be as shit as the d500, if you want a phone buy a sony ericsson or dont bother
