I buy 3 tickets for every draw its like £24 a month roughly. I cant decide if its a waste or not

Yes!

I stopped playing it when I found out that some of the money goes to helping immigrants fight their legal cases to stay in the country.

i'd personally rather spend that £24 on buying 24 of the same scratchcards as i feel your chances of winning are higher and your more likely to get something back even if you only win a pound on one of them!

In all the years I've used this website and with nearly 18,000 members not one person on this website has ever won anything more than a couple of G's, this is what makes me realise its a waste of money.
