told reedy about it yesterday, thought i'd dig out the piccies

before: Minter

after ditch, concrete post, 5 rolls end to end and 90mph-0mph in those steps:

quite funny looking back on it, all 5 in the car were ok, only 1 injury, a broken arm

everyone except my mate was thrown from the car during the "off" and the police and ambulance said it would have been much worse if they'd stayed in the car

good advert for not trying to corner at 90mph with a car full, in the wet on bald rear tyres

he only had the poor thing 8 days

i have to say, it DID handle well, but not at 90 evidently

he was showing off to the 3 girls in the back, usual story really

he now drives sensibly, and has a 5 door 1.4 CVH escort

indeedy

the best thing was the fact that he wrote it off before he started paying for it, so he had a 2 year loan to pay off with no car

Have you driven a saxo?

They handle extremly well, but 90mph even with a car full is asking for trouble.

it was on a corner at the crest of a hill to, the car goes light at about 70, let alone 90

thing is, he fell off the road about 100yards further down the road than he should have if you know what i mean

car was insured in his old mans name, paid out in full, which paid his loan off

and he knew the tyres were bald, but had no money after buying the car

i agree with all of you, not expecting sympathy for him

it was well over a year ago now anyway, and its made him and all of his mates drive more sensibly

he was stupid, but give an 18 year old a saxo vtr, when he had a volvo 340 and a citroen zx before, and its bound to happen really

fudging hell, thats pretty nasty.

But it still wont put me off going for a pug 106 gti, i will just drive sensibly and wait for track days to really test the car.
Also i wont have any back seats and always make sure i had decent tyre tread

seriously reedy, look at how well the car survived considering it went backwards into a ditch at a fair whack, and rolled over 5 times, i did have an interior shot but cant find it

head unit came out of the dash and passenger seat collapsed

what happened for your gf's mate to do that?

I dont know the full details as I think he lied a bit as hes in big trouble with the police for it. Was going round a roundabout says he was doing 70 but prob more and it rolled and went through some railings. Had one person in the front and another lad in the back but luckily he was sat on the other side to where the roof caved in. they all got out with minor bruising. Driving like a cock me thinks
