I might be getting a Mk 2 Golf, either very cheap of maybe even free
What are peoples thoughts on these? Many cars of the same age (E reg) are considered to be old bangers but I think the Golf has quite a lot of charachter With a few mods they scrub up well
If I do get it I wont be going too mad on it, just a run around whilst I work on my other project
Feel free to post pics of them, we love wasting bandwidth

i used to have a mk2 gti 8v, loved it. excellent car. had a b reg 1300 4 speed that had done over 200k on the original engine and original clutc and got pain everywhere it went. scrapped it as i didnt have the space to keep it otherwise it would still be alive today

Plans are to just get it working & use it as a runaround
Might do one or two bits. Badgeless grille, lowered, alloys, exhaust etc.
Its not actually too bad, looks kinda cool
