Bought the ST205 Celica GT4 I went to look at the other day.... and its an amazing car!

Its got a few little probs at the moment, but I did get it for a nice price bacause of it. Some spanner has been let loose fitting the dump valve and butchered a couple of pipes on the Chargecooler, and a few vacuume hoses, but we replaced the ones which were obviously perished, and the car really flew!!

but my mechanic said something was still leaking boost, so back in the engine bay we go, and another buggered pipe we find... this time looking near on impossible to get to!!

So im off to his garage at the weekend, (he specialises in MR2 turbos) and we are going to strip the inlet down, get a compression test done, tidy up the pipework and go from there....


Cant wait to start breathing on the engine now...
A healthy 300bhp is a good starting figure to aim for apparently

Oh, forgot to mention, its got white OZ wheels, adjustable suspension, Apexi Turbo Timer, and an HKS Super SQV BOV

Insurance is £100 more than my Astra GTE... which wasnt cheap but oh well, im only 20!

it was cheaper to insure than an S14a 200SX... but im guessing thats because its such a safe car to drive...

I was pushing it round roundybouts last night and couldnt even get the tyres to squeel!! It just wouldnt break traction!


And even with my boost cut issues I still pulled away from a Civic Type R last night... cant wait for full boost!

Cheers dude, and thanks Cosmo too for offering to host them.


Next to remove the nasty little OZ Racing stickers on the front wings, and sort some clear or smoked side repeaters.

Then as I said, its off to the gods of the 3S-GTE engine at the weekend, for a full diagnostic. It throws up an error code when we did the paperclip test last night (yup, it works on a celica GT4 too! ) but we think its probably "boost out of range" bacause of the shoddy pipework... will find out I guess!
