Jambo, I doubt half the people on here know what BoB stands for.

When was it supposed to be? What happened?

This weekend sat 10th and sun 11th.

Battle of britaint memorial flight.

Got there just as the air show was to start, but lo and behold weather just got worse and worse, visability was cack. Cloud level 600ft at its highest

So the spits just taxi'd around the airfiled waving, and that was it

A chinook did a display that was enbtertaining and very impressive, but it was not the sound of 6+ merlins thundering past

Cost £46 as well, i understand its too dangerous to display when weather is so bad, they could of at least just flown one even if it didnt do any "stunts" as such.

Good day tho, saw lots of veterens, waved and cheered as whole crowds stood up and clapped as they did a drive by, made me cry

Its beautiful! I went there a couple of years ago, but i never get bored of going. I went to the blitz experriance thing near the london dungeon, that was rpetty cool alltho not the biggest of museums!

Ollie u should come to duxford with me again. They have a land warfare musem with montgommery's caravan in it, shed loads of tanks, one of the tiger replicas from saving private ryan. Plus there is a dday exhibit on

(and the have a crashed ME109 as was from 1940!)

no 4x RR Conway driven from the 70's/80's. was the mainstay of BOACs long range capability for many years
