Not mine my grilfriends,

Need to know if you can change the message tone so it can be something funky? I.e an mp3 clip of something

How do you do it??

im sure it can be done. cant you select something like "special" in the message alert menu and then select whatever clip from the folders on the mmc?

When you select the tone click on use gallery and choose an mp3 file from your memory card e.t.c...

Foxy (and the others who don't know how to do it) if you have a 6230 then this is how you do it (not sure about the 6230i - might be the same, probably is), Goto:

Settings>
Profiles>
*Whatever profile you want to adjust*>
Personalise>
Message Alert Tone>
Ringing Tone>
Open Gallery>
*Navigate to the MP3/Ringtone/whatever you want to use*

Very last option, between "Ascending" and "Off" - or at least it should be!

Hmmm, maybe contact Virgin and ask if there are any software updates avaliable for the 6230? Or maybe Nokia? I dunno, mine came like that from the box - maybe yours is a very early one that never had it? Or is yours the 6230i (has a little button in the middle of the main centre button).
