From time to time my front wheels scrub on the plastic arches, not the metal arch as that has been cut back by the bodyshop. Apparently it wont pass an mot if it even touches the arch. is this true?
thanks in advance

If the wheel fouls the bodywork, then it will fail. Wot offset you have on your alloys (ideal is ET45-49), and is the plastic trim, trimmed back? Cant you put your old steelies on for MOT?

So long as the tyre isn't worn because of rubbing it will pass.

wheels are et 45, tyres are toyo proxies 205 40 17's. The plastic trim is cut back slightly.
Its lowered on koni adjustables with cobra -50 springs. The car sits really low on the wheels but doesnt touch, there isnt that much room between the bottom of the plastic arch and top of the tyre

i know my camber is quite far out and the tracking it also out, it hasnt been lowered long and hasnt been driven much, the camber and tracking will be sorted on wednesday as i havnt had it done yet.will this increase the distance from the outer arch and the tyres? like i say, atm i can hardly get my finger in between.
Only other thing i can think of is new front springs?
