Agreed. They used to be a force in World Football. They are barely a force in European Football nowadays.

in another situation that would have been a great result for scotland but due to fucking berti we needed the win..

and on englands performance italy would have beat them....england looked very ordinary for a team full of superstars....

Italy are very much still a strong force in world football, anybody who doesn't think this are deluding themselves.....

We won, they drew.

Performances dont necessarily win games. Unless England win 4-0 all the time nobody is ever satisfied. I'm happy as we won. Luton played like shite in their last two games but managed to get 6 points. Playing poorly and winning isn't a disaster now is it? Room for improvement on a win? Nae bad!

Italy are definately not what they were pre2000 as VT said. They never even progressed past the group stages of euro04. Their team is getting old fast, and with the state of their domestic league they are in a bit of a mess. No doubt they are still one of the worlds top 10 teams, but they did used to challenge for every honour, not anymore they dont.

Del Piero= passed it
Vieri = Lost sight of where the net is
Zambrotta = Crap tackler, very nesh
Inzaghi= Can't get first team football, made him go off the boil
Gattuso= Strong in midfield but can't seem to get back when pushing fwd
Pirlo= Too fancy, tries too many brazilian flicks and loses the ball

They don't have a young and strong defence anymore, Maldini's o the verge of being put in a Hospice and Cannavaro's knocking on a bit.

If italy are that bad i would like to see england play them......i know who would win right now..

England for a team that costs so much player by player and full of superstars they are poor.....Not slating them i think a change of manager is needed for england thats all...
