just got in from work and as i was coming down the drive went to pull my handbrake on and there was a bang and the handbrake pulled right up just jacked it up and the back wheels are locking with the handbrake on but the hand brake is very losse to pull up anybody know wat could be wrong?

handbrake cable has gone slack, could have snapped a guide off the rear beam
