Cheezey's drinking game
What?!
Now you may be asking "why the heck would there be a drinking game for a show rated Y-7 and meant for kids?"... My answer: because drinking games are darned fun! Of course, you don't have to consume any alcoholic beverages to enjoy them, and I am not endorsing underage drinking with this! (So please don't send me any hatemail with such rants, it will be ignored!) The game works equally well with substances containing a high sugar and/or caffeine content (read: candy and soda), and it's a great way to kill a rainy afternoon! How do you play? Gather several of your Thundercats-watching pals, stock up on your beer or junk food, and pop in a video tape of several episodes. Then watch for any of the key events listed below to happen, and follow the instructions when they do! Enjoy!
Listed below is what I call the Classic Drinking Game, best played with a small group of friendly, non-competitive people who just want to laugh at Thundercats and have a good time. This version can also be played alone, if you want a good laugh and to get trashed.
If any of the following occur, drink one sip or a piece of junk food.
* Lion-O says "Sword of Omens, give me sight beyond sight!"
* Mumm-Ra says "Ancient Spirits of Evil, transform this decayed form to Mumm-Ra, the ever-living!"
* Any other "recycled scene" (i.e. the exact same animation scene appearing in multiple episodes, such as Lion-O swinging the sword saying "Thunder, thunder, thundercats-- HO!") occurs.
* WilyKit and/or WilyKat get into trouble because they did something stupid.
* Slythe says "yessss".
* Vultureman clears his throat.
* Monkian says "hoo hoo hooo!" or some variation of it.
* Luna yells at someone.
* Mandora gives someone a ticket.
* The Sword of Omens saves the day.
* Jaga gives Lion-O advice.
* Panthro is fixing or modifying some weapon or vehicle.
* Pumyra plays only a minor role in the ep, or none at all.
* Snarf or Snarfer whines.
* Tygra turns invisible.
* Bengali growls.
* Mumm-Ra has another "unbeatable" plan to do in the Thundercats.
* Mumm-Ra lets out a burst of maniacal laughter.
* Lion-O says "Ho!"
* Alluro hypnotizes someone. (Take two sips if it isn't a Thundercat).
* Mumm-Ra complains to Ma-Mutt.
* Mumm-Ra blames someone else for failure to defeat the Thundercats.
* Someone attacks the Berbil Village.
* WilyKit and/or WilyKat ride their spaceboards.
* The mutants and/or lunatacs fight amongst themselves.
* Vultureman's invention blows up.
* Chilla freezes someone or something. (Take two sips if it isn't a Thundercat).
* Cheetara uses her sixth sense.
* Cheetara's sixth sense is giving her a bad feeling.
* Lynx-O uses the braille board.
* Snarfer says "yep", "sure" or "uh-huh" (if he says more than one of these, take a sip for each one).
* Snarf/Snarfer says "snarf, snarf" or "snarfer, snarfer"
* Mumm-Ra spies on someone or eavesdrops using his pool.
* Mumm-Ra talks to himself.
* Mumm-Ra is defeated by his reflection
* A "moral of the story" type scene ends the episode.
* The episode ends with everyone laughing.
If any of these events occur, drink two sips or a small handful of junk food.
* Lion-O loses, breaks, or otherwise can't use the Sword of Omens.
* Snarf or Snarfer kicks someone's ass.
* Someone other than Lion-O attempts to use the Sword of Omens for any purpose (whether or not they are sucessful doesn't matter).
* Vultureman gets ticked off at the other mutants and ditches them.
* Someone breaks into Cat's Lair.
* The Thundercats break into Castle Plundarr, Skytomb, or Mumm-Ra's Pyramid.
* Tygra turns invisible.
* Amok's penchant for candy is mentioned or demonstrated.
* Mumm-Ra sends Ma-Mutt to do his work for him.
* A recurring character (like Mandora, Hachiman, Willa, Roberbill, Ratar-O etc.) plays a key role in the episode.
* Someone other than the Thunderkittens ride a spaceboard.
* An important vehicle blows up.
* The main focus of the episode is a piece of the Treasure of Thundera.
* The episode is part of a multi-part series (like Thundercats-Ho!, Mumm-Ra Lives!, Thundercubs!, etc.)
* A talking bird (and Captain Cracker's robotic bird counts too!) makes an appearance.
* An animation error is observed.
* Anyone appears in different clothing than they normally wear (or no clothing at all!).
* Any character has a flashback, fantasy, or dream sequence.
* Mumm-Ra conjures up some beast or long-dead villain to do in the Thundercats.
* Mumm-Ra uses the power of the ASOE to change his physical form to something other than "Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living".
* Any of the Thundercats suffers an actual physical injury that debilitates them. (i.e. necessitates a bandage, being carried, etc.)
* One of the Thundercats goes bad, or does something evil (whether or not they are under a spell or something doesn't matter)
* A malfunctioning or "quirky" robot makes an appearance
If any of the following rare events occur, take a big gulp or a huge handful of junk food.
* Someone other than Lion-O saves the day. (Two gulps if it's a villain)
* A villain apologizes to anyone for the trouble they have caused. (Two gulps if it's a major enemy and not just a one or two-time appearing guest enemy)
* Pumyra actually plays an important role in the episode.
* The berbils fend off or capture an enemy without any real help from anyone.
* Vultureman's invention doesn't blow up.
* Snarf has an out of body experience.
* The real Thundercats intro is played.
* The mutants do something smart.
* Jaga has no clue what to do in a given situation.
* An enemy is permanently defeated.
* The Thunderkittens get in trouble with the other Thundercats (i.e. stole and lost the weapons).
* Mumm-Ra tricks another good guy into fighting the Thundercats.
* If you see Castle Plundarr, Cat's Lair, Tower of Omens, or the Black Pyramid blow up and those blasted mutants are somehow responsible for the damage.
* If you can see Wilykat's underwear. (Yes this happened at least three times!!!)
* Snarfer makes a mistake while fixing something
* One of the Thundercats has the lair all to him/herself (The Thunderkittens alone together also count)
* Any character comes on to/asks out another character (Yes, this happened at least twice!!!)
* A "combo event" occurs. A combo event is defined as two drinking entries occurring simultaneously, like Mumm-Ra laughs maniacally (1 entry) while attacking berbils (another qualifying entry). For this special occurance, you must not only drink the required drinks for each event sepearately, but you must drink a separate big gulp for the fact that it's a combo event.
* When you see Mumm-Ra transform in one unbroken shot!
If you see any of these occur, you might have been playing a bit too long, so turn off the TV or VCR and put the booze away, because this would never happen on the Thundercats:
* Lion-O goes on a murderous rampage.
* Mumm-Ra decides that being evil isn't fun anymore and becomes a Thundercat-in
* training.
* Slythe decides to put up flowery wallpaper in every room of Castle Plundarr.
* Luna grows three feet taller and becomes a supermodel.
* Ma-Mutt and Snarf start dating. (Oh wait, this already happened!!!)
* Alluro joins the Hair Club for Men. (Whoops, this already happened too!)
* RedEye uses his X-Ray vision to spy on Chilla in the shower.
* The mutants steal the Thundertank, go out for a joyride, and moon the Berbil Village.
* Cheetara gets caught naked in the shower.
* The Sword of Omens is successfully used against the good guys.
* Alluro tries out for the Michael Bolton Look-Alike contest.
* Chilla quits her job as a lunatac to work as an Ice Cream Lady.
* Amok gets smart.
* Luna gets mistaken for Steven Tyler's long lost daughter (think of the lips!)
* Cheetara goes through a "Jan Brady" motive when she tries to remove those black spots.
* Tygra goes on a rampage, turns himself invisible, and steps all over Luna.
* Mumm-Ra and Mumm-Rana marry.
* Panthro is caught taking Thunder-Steroids.
* Jaga accidentally gives a villain advice instead of Lion-O.
* Pumyra's ears shrink.
* Lion-O and Cheetara kiss.
* Pumyra and Bengali kiss.
* Snarf doesn't worry.
* Lion-O does not say "HO!"
* Lion-O does not summon the Thundercats for help.
* Lion-O says "Thunder... Thunder... Thundercats... OHHHHHHH screw it they know the rest!"
* Mumm-Ra and Cheetara kiss.
* We find out what's REALLY underneath Mumm-Ra's skirt.
* Lion-O gets kicked where it counts.
* Mumm-Ra ditches his pyramid for a split level beachfront ranch house condo.
* Lion-O gives the Sword of Omens to Mumm-Ra as a Christmas present.
* Mumm-Ra gives Lion-O a skirt as a Christmas present.
* Mumm-Ra and Pumyra share skirts.
* Luna confesses to the other Lunatacs that the secret to her big lips is sucking the pool drain.
* TugMug is discovered to be the long lost child of Mr. T
* Mumm-Ra says "Just transform me already dammit!" instead of the whole "Ancient Spirits of Evil..." chant.
* Lynx-O is caught at a strip bar.
* Lynx-O walks into a wall at least 10 times in one episode.
* All the mutants win on Jeopardy.
* Lion-O, Pumyra, and Cheetara are caught having a threesome in the Thundertank.
* WilyKit and WilyKat find out who their parents are.
* Vultureman claims his "advanced mutants technology" as cheap special effect for the show.
* WilyKit and WilyKat actually grew up and behaved like true Thundercats.
* Tygra becomes invisible and invades a girl's locker room.
* Larry Kenney actually appears live on the show.
* You get a phone call from a certain sleezy Thundercats offering sex.
* Cheetara discovers she is pregnant, and has to have a paternity test to determine the father of the child.
* Jackalman is successful in leading an army
* Lynx-O gets some action (and I don't mean fighting)
* A lawyer appears on Thundercats
* The mutants start doing their own song and dance à la "Village People"
* Mumm-ra becomes a model for GQ
* Mandora arrests (not just tickets) one of the Thundercats
* Instead of coming up with another half-assed plan to do in the Thundercats, Mumm-ra sues them for defamation of character, harassment, burglary, breaking and entering, and discrimination......and wins
* Slythe admits he is a total screw-up.
* Vultureman admits his inventions suck.
* Mumm-Ra and Lion-O admit their true love for one another.
* Panthro paints flowers on the Thundertank and christens it The Mystery Thunder machine
* Snarfer goes around saying Snarfer Snarfer Doo
* Lion-O uses the sword of omens to detect footprints
* The Thundercats discover the mutants are actually people in costumes
* Lion-o caught cheating with Baby Spice.
* The mutants have a orgy.
* Any regular character dies (Jaga in Exodus doesn't count- he pulled an Obi Wan!) and stays dead
* MUMM-RA WINS!
* Lion-O becomes a vampire and drains the blood of every Third-Earther.
* Mumm-Ra reveals that the most ancient spirit of evil is in his pants.
* Anyone is caught taking a shit.
* Panthro builds a super-vibrator for Cheetara.
* The Thunderkittens get drunk and go cow tipping.
* Someone screws a cow.
* The mutants put a bomb in the Thundertank and it has to stay moving above 55 mph.
* The entire cast makes a porno movie called "Sexcapades"
* Panthro is caught masturbating.
* Cheetara uses the Sword of Omens as a growing dildo.
* Lion-o starts to sing gangster rap.
* Wily-kit and -cat are caught using Mumm-ra as a top by pulling his bandages and watching him spin.
* The Thundercats join forces with Andrew Lloyd Webber to Produce "ThunderCATS".
* "Mandora, Cheetarah, and Pumyra get caught moaning, panting, wailing, and screaming in the Feliner having mad lesbian sex"
* "Ma-mutt reveals to New Thundera that Mumm-ra molested him as a puppy therefore he is impotent"
* Anyone gets seriously injured, and has to be air lifted out in a helicopter.
* Godzilla stops by for a round of distruction.
* The star ship Voyager stops by so Tom Paris could have a one night stand with Cheetara and 7 of 9 assimilates Snarfer and Ma-mutt for the fun of it.
* Tuvok and Lynx-o have a very long philosophical discusstion about their pointy ears.
