What's the point in saying they are rubbish because you had to upgrade the memory and graphics card within the first week of getting one? I would understand if it blew up on you or something, but you are just moaning because you didn't like the spec - that's no reason to put down a brand/model of PC is it? Unless you nicked it or something and didn't know the spec?

Also what you are saying about them having little room to upgrade is as you say "rubbish". Unless you are talking about a laptop, or you are talking about a very old model, then I feel that you do not know what you are talking about, and therefore invite you to STFU.

I had an eMachines desktop PC, and am now currently using an eMachines laptop, both of which are very GOOD, never given me ANY problems.

If I had to get another desktop PC it would be definately be an eMachines one!

Also on my laptop (eMachines M5322) I use it for web design stuff, and use programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver with no problems at all, even with several other applications running at the same time!

im sorry e machines in my opinion are ok for the money but they use alot of cheap parts to cut costs and this will show with reliability.

If i was to spend 500 squid on a new machine id build my own from scratch as parts are be comming allot more affordable.

i just cant se the point in spending £500 on a machine to then up grade it straight away... you shouldnt need to. mind you as soon as you buy one it would of allready been out dated allready.

also yes you can upgrade most emachine nowbut you are limited what you can do with them as the mother boards will only take so much memory i.e not enough slots for upgrades etc......

A lot of manufacturers use cheap parts - how do you think they make money on their PCs?

If I wanted some ultimate gaming or graphics PC then I would build it myself rather than get a ready made one from anyone (regardless of make) but eMachines are just as good as any other make.

If you want a crap PC, buy a Packard Bell or Tiny (well Tiny are now bust anyway)!

Well at the end of the day it all depends on what 'flameredcorsab' wants out of his PC in terms of performance/reliability/upgradability etc.

I'm not saying eMachines are the best PC manufacturer in the whole wide world, but they aren't crap either. I've had no problems with their kit, and for what I need the PC/laptop for, it does the job and has not given me any cause for complaint.

I considered your invite to STFU but declined due to you being a prick. I had the emachine for 5 months before i sold it in that time the cpu P3 733mhz blew twice and i was restricted in upgrading the machine due to it only having a Total of 3 pci slots and 2 available so i could only put a pci graphics card in which at the time was a pci nvidia 32mb TNT m64 and the motherboard would only take samsung branded pc133 ram after trying a different variety.

Yes I am a prick, thank you for the compliment!
