been on the corsa's first good long run today after getting it all serviced etc.
Problem was after so long of trouble free driving the engine management light comes on and the car is really jumpy, kinda kangarooing at some points, this is in 5th on the motorway at low revs. If i floor it its fine, but is very annoying at cruising speed.
So i pulled over, turned the engine off and restarted it and it went off, runs fine for say 40 miles, then light comes back on, as soon as it comes on you can feel a flat spot and it starts kangarooing again.
So turned it off again and then was fine for ages, say about 60 miles. bearing in mine have done about 250 miles today in total and most of time is ok. Just pissing me off nows lol.
Oh and one of the times after i had turned it off and went to set off again the engine really bogged down and didnt want to rev at all, once it got going it was spot on though.
Now have had a similar problem in past with a fiat, and was the lambda sensor. reckon it could be that?
cars had new plugs, leads, air/oil filter. oil change. cambelt and all pulleys, new waterpump etc in last 2 weeks.
Other problem is my brakes seem really shit, well they stop ok but not fantastic. has had new disks and pads just before i bought it and new shoes on the rear.
might try bleeding them, but am getting vibration when braking at high speeds, reckon balancing the wheels would cure this? Or possibly disks could be warped?
I seem to get the abs light on now and then too, but usually after it has rained. gonna try cleaning the teeth up that the sensor gets its reading from maybe or possibly hoping bleeding brakes will do it.
whats peoples opinions?
