i went last weekend. little tip buy shortcut pass for extra £5 will save u 4 hours queuing for "nemisis, oblivion, the flumes, air" no fast track stuff for rita just have to put up with the 2 hour queue for that .

We used to go every year with school not been for about 2 years tho we also used to organise a coach trip with the local pub til' it got knocked down

yes... u go to where you buy tickets etc and purchase them there... only £5. we had already brought our tickets  .

thats what makes a good ride!!! oblivion and rita are the only 2 that make lose my breath.
even tho rita did this, its over-rated imo.

MMM,
i thought alton towers was a waste of time effort and money, i went in july.
Got in had to que 2 hours to get into the damn park, then ran straight to rite and went on that was pretty good after 1.5 hour que. nemesis was 4 hr que, air was 2.5 hrs, so i went on the log flume, river rapids, runaway train, pinball wizzer, Hex - which i thought was the best of them all!!!!
was a waste of money to spend a day queing to go on a few rides, who wants to wait 4 hours for a ride
so went to the ribena berry bash which was quality pumelling little kids with sponge balls
but i would never go again, id prefer to go karting for one hour and hace adrenaline pumped for all that time

you have to go on the right day
when we went we only queued half hour for rita and 10 min for everything else

i still think its a rip off for what you get!!
In oz (here we go again) i payed about $40 for a 2day pass to dreamworld, seaworld and water park and had much more fun there then i did at alton towers!!
Over rated in my opinion but i cant stand fairs either just my point of view chaps and chapettes
