I've just heard that the lovely Ebay people are adding VAT to all items sold now, so when you sell an item look forward to the lovely charge you will get.

erm unless you are VAT registerd you cant add VAT

And id say 98% of people on ebay are not VAT registerd.

old news, ebay have added sales tax for a good year or so HERE and like tnm said, cant unless youre vat reg'd

it pisses me off that. they shouldnot put up final price plus vat. VAT should be included in price.

i think, its to do with alot of people selling items on ebay like over a cetain total value in a year, so say you get rid of 3k worth of crap on ebay, i think you may get taxed for it.

thats capital gains tax over 10k and that only applys to things you are trading. if you sell junk from you house it does not qualify

I alot of companies in company to company dealings - claim vat back anyway so thats why they dont advertise with vat.

Im not talking about ebay specific of course.
