Why are calibras shit?
They require looking after due to 4wd system, hence they got a bad rep for reliablilty.
If u had 8k u could have a massivly quick calibra, 300bhp+

how many reliable 300bhp calibra's do you get?
u'd never get the money back
something like an audi quattro will depreciate far slower and be far more reliable all round

Ive owned two calibra turbo's one of which was touching 300bhp - never ever gave me a problem.
If you dont cut corners you can have a real sleeper good looking very fast car.

yeah know what you mean, i'd still go for the audi due to depreciation and being newer should be less problems all round

Clio 182. Less chance of whopping bills and just as much fun.

i really not a fan of calibra
cheap, bit shabby quality, based on cav
am talking in general, am sure some die hard vauxhall fans look after em and make em quicker/refine em
but out of the factory when they came out, they were better than the ford probe, but VW's corrado and nissans 240sx were more worthy and highly regarded as sports coupes
i think the main feeling is cheap, affordable but also quick
depends what you look for in a car, not saying they the worse car you can get, but there is many that are better

Clios are meant to be fun but are fattaly flawed as they are FWD.
Quite pricey too for a small car.
Audi S3's can be had for 182 money, albeit slightly longer in the tooth a much nicer car

You'll get a mint 182 for shitter S3 money.
I would take a 182 every time for the fun factor.

depends wot u want really, calibra is not silly fast until tuned
the audi is probably a better base for engine tuning and 4wd won't go tits up

As in a FWD performance car. The physics are all wrong, no-one said they werent fun, i drive one. But i wouldnt buy another fast FWD again. The only reason cars are FWD is to reduce costs, its not an ideal.
