Just been watching IMAX version of Apollo13 on my 7.1 setup and big TV, OMFG what a rush it must have been to be strapped on top of the Saturn5 largest and most powerful spacecraft ever made!!!!
7,500,000 lbs of thrust , the most powerful commercial aircraft engine today only makes 115,000

Why do we and the americans waste money on this shit, ok its great to be able to go into space. But at the moment we can't really do alot when were there. Why dont we just wait until technology allows us to do more and concetrate the money on others issues.
