not so much as in looks but in say speed, exel (0-60) and everyday driving?

those rovers are pretty shat, but then i wouldnt really rancy a corsa 1.4 sri, out of the two tho, the corsa sri, cant rmember the 0-60 time of the rover si, but it will be slow

some of them rovers had the honda engines in, maybe they were just the 216's. they were fast

if its a k-series lump in the rover it'll pish all over the SRi... ive raced Just about everything in the old mans old 414i and that was pretty rapid for what it was

The K engens where Honda where they not? and the 214 is fast trust be with a 0-60 of 10 secs 318 BMW,VTR's and gsi Corsa are no match. The rover free revs all the way to limmiter in every gear and pulls till that point too and will hit 115mph

nah, the k series is different engine. mate has a honda engine in his crx turbo he got out of a 216 from scrappy

the one my bro has in the N reg 214 Plastic Inlet manifold, Really goes. We all know rovers are poo and il looses water for no reason but i thought it was gona be shit but for £300 its a little rocket

yeah k-series is a rover lump... been in lotuses etc, sound pretty good with a fook off great induction cone on too

Corsa B 1.4 16v 0-60 10.5 secs

H egot one fitted the one that should of nade the corsa i got sound good but did not. Fitted it to the rover sounds Great

different shape, same name. later ones were same as rover 25 and mgzr

My girlfriend has a 1997 Rover 414 16v (K series) not at all bad for what it is, has beaten a Corsa SRI 8vbefore (even with her driving)

Think the weight of the 214si is very light. As light if not lighter than the corsa

my mate had an old 214, it looked crap and had fake wood in the dash but he said it was quite fast.

Yeah, the k series are tuneable, heard of up to 130bhp being obtained from them

I have a 216 with a honda lump and it will piss over SRi's & GSi's all day long
