Could someone please help me here, im using Nero 6.6, and trying to create a SVCD. I have the file Apollo13, it is 690MB, but when opened in Nero, it said te file was 1100something MB, so i decided to chop the movie in half using AVI MPEG SWF WMV Splitter. that worked well and both parts of the movie are 347MB or thereabouts. in Nero it said each one was 698MB/79mins so i thought perfect. Put in the 80min/700MB CD, and it started encoding the video, but when it was time to burn, it said there was not enough space on the CD because the file was 1100something MB even though it was only half that
Any suggestions what im doing wrong?

run your avi thro DivxtoDVD, it will encode the movie as video ts files within an hour, then burn them onto disc

svcd's don't use vob files.
Is it maybe just a bit too long?
SVCD's will have to be a certain length as opposed to a certain file size.
Half an hour or something maybe?
