Left hospital on sunday night after going to see my wifes sisters new baby who was born on sunday..

Driving home at 20:15 and joined the 'cluny road' (some ppl will know it) twisty b road..We were in karens Fiat siecento at the time, karen was driving kieran was in back on passenger side in his seat. I was behind karen in the back with kieran.

Came over the top of a hill I was leaning over kieran talking to him and I heard karen shout 'JESUS CHRIST' I looked up to see a vauxhall vectra on our side of the road..was only a split 2nd and had a head on smash, don't remember much of the impact just getting thrown about. Once the car had stopped and i sort of came to I just remember blood pouring from my face, 1st priority was kieran looked across and he was still sitting up in his seat, screaming but looked ok. Looked at karen and she was trapped between chair and steering wheel...She was moaning alot and i thought we have to get out.. By this time there was alot of ppl around that had stopped..I got karens belt off but couldn't open the door, ppl outside managed to open the door and i passed kieran out, there was smoke coming from bonnet..I managed to get out and then tried to get karens seat back but it was stuck solid...I was aching all over with blood pouring out and remember feeling faint...The police turned up in minutes as there was another accident near by.. Took 4 of them to get karen out the car by actually breaking her seat in 2..

All hell was going on around us...The bloke driving the vectra got arrested on the spot as he was drunk

We got put in ambulance and taken to hospital..All in resus for hrs..Kieran and myself were like walking wounded but karen was strapped on trauma board with her head strapped still and neck brace on...Complaing she can't breath..

Cut story a bit short, kieran and me were discharged about 5 hrs later.
Karen is still in hospital..

Karen has i deflated lung, other lung punctured. Broken foot and numouros cuts, briuses etc..She will be in hospital for a while but should make a full recovery through time.

I have cuts and bruises to legs, arms, chest, fingers etc etc..I am in pain and can't drive at all..but think i got off lightly..

THANK GOD all kieran has is a scrape where his belt was...

I WAS NOT wearing my seatbelt in the back as was leaning over kieran slightly..

PLEASE PLEASE WEAR SEATBELTS IN THE REAR.. I must have made karens injuries worse due to this....She effectively saved my life as i would have been through the windscreen....

This will stay with me for the rest of my life.....Can't get the pictures out my head...

We were going about 40-45 he must have been doing at least 70..Police said combined force would be a hit at 140mph..

police also said he has seen much less damage and all occupants were DEAD...Think we are lucky to be alive..

I have pictures of the car and will get them up in next few days....It's a mess...

not writting this for attention just thought i would post it up for ppl that know me and as a warning to others out there..

we should all come though this through time but the images will be with us for the rest of our lives..

karen should be in hospital for about 1 week i think....

PS so i won't be going to national meet.
