Im the OIC at work (officer in charge) so basically do all my bosses work for her and get paid arounf £5k less. She doesn't appreciate the things people do for her, and i work with muppets.
Im a prisoner escort so have to escort prisoners to court and sit with them whilst they're getting sentenced/on trial etc. You get to here some pretty gruesome facts/details but you have to let it go... one officer in particular often ends up handcuffing prisoners down from court in tears etc - un-professional. It looks a bit odd when a prisoner gets 15 years and its the custody officer who's crying.

It's a job, if people can't block their emotions and it gets to the point where they actually cry with a prisoner then they're in the wrong job.
But yeah... sentencing can be quite funny

i went to watch sentancing at nottingham magistrates last year, it amused me!

Magistrates courts are crap, the maximum sentence they can give is one of 12 months.

yeah but its funny watching chavs get sentenced! they shout "nah man, no way" and stuff!

Watching someone get 12 years is better than 12 months
TBH the prisoners getting long sentences like 10+ years don't even flinch in court, don't seem bothered at all.
It's the people getting short sentences that are gobby... ive had a few shout/swear at the judge and insult his momma
