Hello ladies,
Well i was wondering what I can put between the exhaust clamp and the rear axel on my corsa as its dropped 40 mm, and the bastard sounds like a tank when i hit a bumpy peice of road, bricked highstreets are laughable.
So I put it to you, what can i use as a dampener for this as im sure it cant be doing the exhaust much good,

fit your exhaust properly, cos it aint fitted properly if its doin that, either that or its not the correct 1 for the car,
if all else fails, turn the clamp upside down and tighten it with a spanner

My standard Exhaust bangs about too! I had the middle rubber put on. (It was missing) Then it started getting noisy when I had it lowered!

they will bang of the spring,

Mine did this up until the other day when I had a new middle bit on. They fitted it on slightly differently so that it had more clearance over the axle than the previous one did.

apparently fitting the clamps from a Vectra is better, since they are shorter than Corsa ones and stop the exahust hitting the rear beam

I have had this problem on my last corsa, and use to have it on my current one. to solve the problem i put cable ties around the mounting brakets (where the rubbers go) and pulled them until i had lifted the exhaust up giving extra clearance over the axle.
