the women at work are allowed to wear skirts as short as they like (within reason though) and they are allowed to wear cropped trousers.

but im not allowed to wear shorts or 3/4 trousers

When I worked in an office this was also the case!

In answer to your question though! Yes it is! Men should be alowed to wear skirts and cropped trousers too!

aparently i could wear a kilt, which i might have to do as my balls are sweating like a fat man running for cake!

Alot of mens 3/4 lengths are sporty or sporty material.

plus what shoes would you wear with them, im sure trainers are not appropriete for office work?

We have 2 blokes here that wear 3/4 length jeans/shorts and they both wear them with trainers. They're technical support so it doesnt really matter what they wear unlike the sales team.
Although women are not allowed to wear very short skirts or jeans.

There is not as many clothing options for men to look smart
