Ok I said to someone I would buy there car but wouldnt have the money till the Tigra went and the guy said this was ok so gave him a deposit to secure it, this was 6 weeks ago.
We spoke a few times and everything was ok. Text him last week asking reg number so I could get my insurance arranged but got no reply
Text him again the other day still no reply but also asked where could meet him etc as it was meant to be this saturday I picked up the car
He called me yesterday to say took the car to the garage and they said it was fucked so he was now just going to keep the car and I couldnt have it and he would send me the deposit back then promtly hung up the phone on me 
Spoke to a few people who know of the guy and they all said the same thing, the car had been pretty much fucked for ages now, so why did he wait till 3 days before Im due to get the car to tell me this? 
Oh and he is also a member on here and this is where I seen he was selling the car!
So now after 6 weeks of knowing I was getting a car I now have to go looking for another car to get and there is nothing else out there that I want

Hmm that sucks big time! Mind you mayb buying a car off someone through txts was asking for problems. Plenty of Golfs out there on the market.
Look at it this way at least you had a decent miss at buying a lemon. Look for something decent and then you'll have some trouble free motoring

I had met up with him to see the car etc, only text him as sometimes when called phone was off. And didnt know what times he worked so sent the odd text asking a wee question so he could reply when was free.
In a way kinda glad though coz would of hated to of spent all my money on the car and then got it and it was fucked as Id have no money to fix it
